    Hi Everyone,

Wow, I was lucky to get a spot in one of Leo's Clinics here in

Northern California. The first one, which I'm attending, is in

Oakdale, CA on July 21st and 22nd. That's a Thursday and Friday.

Second one is Saturday and Sunday July 23rd and 24th in Waterford. Both will

start at 9:00am. If there is any interest, there are some spots still open,

call Mike Marino at 209-505-2619, or email at mike@gsfstk.

For those of you that have attended one of Leo's Clinic's I have a question.

I was told to bring 2 flats of shells for the clinic. Was going to

    bring a flat of 1 oz 8's and a flat of 1 1/8 oz 7 1/2's. I normally

shoot 1 oz for singles and first shot of doubles. The 1 1/8 oz for caps

    and second shot of doubles.

Do you think this will be okay or should I bring 3 flats with a mix??

Does he split the time up evenly between the 3 disciplines??

    Thanks for your help,

    Mike Cunningham

    Kyle and Dave,

Thanks so much for the comments. I'll bring enough shells for whatever

Leo wants to do. At least now I know what direction to load for.

    Again, thank you.

    Happy Monday everyone,

Just got off the phone with Mike and there are a couple

off openings left for Leo's Clinic. Give him a call if

    you're interested.

Went to Stockton Trap & Skeet for the ATA Zone Shoot on

Saturday. Last year was in the low 90's. This year 54 degrees

    with wind and rain.

When I first read the post I was excited. Northern California here I come. Ready to go home get hooked up to the trailer, load shotguns and ammo and I would be on my way. Then I went to mapquest and saw where Oakdale and Waterford are located. Took the wind right out of my sails before they were loaded. Post says NORTHERN California. I am not sure if you split Califonia in half from Mexico to Oregon if Oakdale would be north of that line. I was thinking Redding or maybe even Yreka if I was really lucky. I really would like to attend one of Leo's clinics, but Oakdale is waaaay to far south of Seattle to drive to for a clinic.

    Jim,
You're right, that would be way to far to drive.

Oakdale and Waterford are in the ATA Northern Zone.

Central zone starts down by Merced.

Didn't mean to mislead anyone, just going by the Zone

    boundary's.

Sorry you'll miss it. From Redding you're about 4 1/2 to

    5 hours out.

    Kyle, Dave And Mike too
I was lucky enough to get a spot at the Thursday / Friday Leo Harrison Clinic in Northern California. OK so I get it, that I'm supposed to bring 500 Shells and be prepaired as if I were going to an ATA shoot (what ever that is) But here's ther real Question. Should I bring 7.5s or 8's?? and can I buy Wally world 3 Dram or just Light 2,3/4 Dram loads... I hope I'm not over thinking this But I've been loseing sleep trying to figure this all out. =) Oh and it looks like the class is full...

    Hey Doubles,
    I normally shoot 1oz 8's 2 3/4 dram for singles. So I'm bringing

1 flat of those. Shoot 1 1/8oz 8's 2 3/4 dram for caps and second

shot of doubles. Bringing 1 flat of those. Oh, also use the 1oz

    for first shot of doubles.

I would bring whatever you're comfortable with and whatever you normally

shoot. If you change something from what you normally use, the

results might skew what Leo see's you doing.

    Doubles,

NO, the club is no where near McHenry. That's Escalon going towards Modesto.

The club your'e thinking about has a Escalon mailing address.

Go to Google Maps and look for 840 North Stearns Road, Oakdale, CA. It's a

left turn on 120/108 coming from the west. So you'll be about a mile to a

mile and a half east of the last traffic light in Oakdale. About 12 to 13 1/2

    miles out of Escalon.

You'll go down about a mile and a half and the club is on your left.

Look it up and let me know if you have problems.

    Mike C.

PS: If you send me your email, I can send a map. I'm going down there

    Wednesday morning to shoot.
