Well deserved and I was proud to be there and meet and chat with this young man.

An editorial comment-- Senator Grassley was just behind me during the ceremony and waited quietly in line afterwards, no fan fare and no aides and no media attention. Great American himself

The Democrat he defeated and those democrats that won reelection to congress were nowhere to be seen.

    regards from Iowa

He is a humble young man who deserved the recognition for what he has done. Wish I could have been there.

What party does Culver belong to? Was Branstad there? Why even bring up the subject of what political group was there?

Obviously Gov Culver was there- it was his ceremony

If you were there- you would know how unusual it is to have a senator- quietly standing (didnt even take one of the seats because there were older vets there)

That is something you dont see every day.

Grassley wasnt trying to be elected- he just got in for another 6 years.

Others ran specifically because they were strong on defending the nation- but they werent there and congress was out for the week.

    regards from Iowa

    Eddie,

Army Dress Blue Uniform. Expensive for an enlistd man. Wanted one while I was serving but never earned enough fruit salad to be worthy
