Spaten Premium Lager and Stone IPA are my regular beers... Looking to try a few Bocks, or Doppelbocks, or Meibocks... Any recommendations? Thanks. John

as cheap and unglamourous as the brands are, Pabst and Schmidts were good when I drank them..have not seen them on the shelves in quite a while though so content with Yuengling Black and Tan

Many years ago while living in Indiana I always drank Strohs and I waited every year for the October Bock beer. It was the best Bock I have ever had then or since

By far Paulander Salvator is my favorite (link above).

    From their website:

    "Liquid nourishment.
The Paulaner monks drank Salvator as a substitute for food during Lent. The most famous brewer of all was Brother Barnabas who ran the Paulaner monastery brewery starting in 1773. To this day, his original recipe remains almost unaltered. In order to protect the original, Paulaner registered the “Salvator” trademark with the Patent Office in 1896."

May not be a bock but a great set from Belgium. Go good with just about anything from fish to chickens.
