Hallo an alle meine deutschen Freunde.

    Achten Sie darauf,
    Steven Balistreri

Who will be the first to tell me exactly what I wrote??? I love this site, especially when I am bored. There must be someone who speaks and can read German? Here in MIlwaukee we have a huge German population.

No, Senior Smoke, you're not the first. Neil Winston and I used to post here in German (usually inside remarks).

Hello to all my German friends. This is a first on a thread TS.com. Only in German My daughter told me about a great site to Google, where it is translated to English, the German and many other languages. I'm sure this is the first thread in a foreign language on this website. I grew up with mostly German friends, plus I had German in school. If you can read and speak German, you can read what I just typed. Make sure Steven Balistreri

    Steve,

Well...obviously you'd have no way to know this, but it may surprise you to know: The Literalist and Neil Winston also used to post in Czech, occasionally. (But it was usually only right before large trapshoots in the Upper Midwest, and was _really_ inside stuff...stuff that can't be translated on a family site, if you catch my drift).

Glad I could straighten you out...(in manner of speaking).

Wow Lit, I had no idea you were so fluent in Pig-Latin. I'm impressed. You are truly a well rounded and talented multilingual shooter.

Senior Smoke, what is the name of the website? And does it translate both ways, English to German and German to English? I am of direct German descent on both sides, one side came over in 1726 and the other side came over in 1745 but the speaking of German in the families died out in the 20th century. I am trying to learn to speak and at least read German even though I am 77. Can't afford the $400 or so for Rosetta Stone and there are no teachers of German
in this area. The website would allow me to practice reading and writing German.

    Thanks.
