    A LITTLE GUN HISTORY

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. >From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated
Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.

With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'.
During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
If you value your freedom, please spread this antigun-control message to all of your friends.
SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN!
SWITZERLAND'S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE.
SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!
    IT'S A NO BRAINER!
DON'T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET.
Spread the word everywhere you can that you are a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment!

It's time to speak loud before they try to silence and disarm us.
You're not imagining it, history shows that governments always manipulate tragedies to attempt to disarm the people~

No intelligent, freedom-loving person is for gun control.

    It's that simple.

Pretty cut and dried. Nice find Bob. Even the trolls will have trouble disputing this one, but they will try.

Here I thought it was the "Bill of RIGHTS" not the "Bill of Needs". Perhaps that will answer your asinine question.

"want assault weapons which have no sporting or hunting purpose......."

Says who?? That's your uneducated opinion. As a matter of fact, they are used for both but hey, you have got it all figured out so run with it. I'm done with you as I've made my points but not until after you made it so easy.

Sure lets blame the guns. Talk about a total knee jerk reaction. Knee jerk reactions are often made when there is an absence of common sense.

Mountainsteve, Just a reminder that the 2nd Amendment was not about sporting or hunting purposes. The writers would have wanted citizens to have whatever the mi;itary was using. Usually after the shooting starts the local guerillas find the RPGs, M79 grenade launchers, and M60s. They take them from the dead professionals.

    Mountainsteve,

1st thank you for your service.

The 2nd Amendment is exactly what it is. Sporting or hunting purposes...really? It's a semi-auto. Like ever other semi auto ever made, everytime you pull the trigger.

The AR is not the monster in the closet. I never had much use for one until Zumbo started his crap. I have been shooting and having a blast with them ever since.

It's this simple bud....they don't want the M16/AR. They want everything and they are using the blood of children to do it.

loose the 2nd and the rest will follow

In case anyone remembers here's a post from TS dated NOV. 2012. Not that long ago.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Subject: Senator Feinstein preparing for new assault ban
    From: wireguy
    Email:

    Website Address:

    From THE SHOOTING WIRE:

    Rumors, Acquisitions and Elections

Don't have the minutes of the meeting (yet), but sources tell me California Senator and longtime gun-hater Dianne Feinstein's legal staff held meetings on Friday with FTB/ATF legal staff to discuss a new "Assault Weapons Ban" Madame Feinstein would be looking to push through Congress if President Obama wins reelection.

This same "pretty good intelligence" says the items that would lead to a ban would ban pistol grips and "high-capacity" magazines, eliminate any grandfathering and ban sales of "weapons in possession". I don't know about you, but if these things come to pass and I'm "in possession" I'm certainly not selling. In fact, the lack of interest in the idea surprised the California liberal's legal staffers. Apparently, they believe no logical person could possible disagree with them.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't begin (or end) with a rumor, but today and tomorrow aren't exactly ordinary days. Today is the final day before the general election, and in case you haven't noticed there are plenty of significant items on ballots across the nation.

But the outcome of the presidential race will say a lot about where we're headed as a nation- and as shooters. If you are registered to vote and haven't already voted via absentee ballot, delay whatever you had planned for tomorrow short of life-saving surgery and get to the polls.

On Friday, I began receiving the first reports of increases in gun buying by people concerned about tomorrow's election. Dealers in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama and Indiana all tell me there hasn't been a huge number of buyers expressing those concerns, but the numbers were noticeable.

Among that group -and the majority of "regular" purchasers- the core driving most of the purchasing seem to be in their mid-to-late 30s. Again, home and personal defense are the most frequently cited reasons for buying.

Can't say she didn't warn ya.

Mountainsteve, I didn't catch your definition of Sporting purpose. I only shoot at an approved firing range, I have never defended myself with a firearm, I have watched other people compete in rifle matches with semi automatic rifles- seeming to enjoy themselves. Please elaborate?

    COMPROMISE?

I will compromise when you can show me one statistic that shows I am safer without my guns....any gun of my choice. You can't. You want to feel all warm and fuzzy like you are going to make the world a better place. Yes it sucks that some wacko did the unthinkable. It was the nutjob not the gun.

What is apparent is that those that are soft on the 2nd amendment are willing to compromise regardless of the facts and in turn are willing to compromise my rights.

I, Sir will never compromise, NEVER COMPROMISE.

Just how did Steve come to the conclusion that an AR 15 is an "assault weapon" like his M16 was? What is this " reasonable compromise" he wants? Is it reasonable to give up semi-auto rifles for no reason? The answer should be obvious.

It seams that Mountainsteve is a John Kerry type of Viet Nam vet that will lie about his fellow vets and throw his medals over the fence.

    Bob,
Another of your intelligent, accurate post on gun control. Last night I saw Bobby Kennedy's daughter rant on TV about losing her father and uncle due to assault rifles. As we know, the Italian Carcano, alledgedly used on JFK is definitely not any more an assault rifle than the hand gun used on her father. So much for intelligent, accurate info found in today's media.

    BAN INSANITY!

I can't fathom why any Jew would be in favor of any form of gun control. It happened once, it could happen again. I have more guns and ammo than the entire Warsaw Ghetto combined. Almost get sick to my stomach when I see gutless America Jews leading the anti-gun movement. Vat schmucks !!!!
