1 1/8 oz claybuster wad is catching shell on downstroke. I have been using
this wad and Remington premier hull flawlessly until today. I have changed the
wad guide and set it up as the manual shows. Called mec tech support today
with no help. Has anyone else had such a problem with a answer. Swithced hulls to Nitro 27 with no luck

On the downstroke, is the wad guide going into the mouth of the hull correctly? If the wad guide has slide up the rod that holds it, the wad guide may not be going into the mouth of the hull far enough to let the wad slip past the skiv's in the hull. You may have to adjust the wad guide down a little to insure a proper fit.... Dan Thome (Trap2)

De-prime an empty hull, place it in the wad station. Tilt the bottle assy back and bore sight through the shot drop tube through the de-primed hull. Loosen the wad guides allen screw and properly align the wad guides bottom opening as you would align peep sights on a rifle. This will set your wad guide opening centered over the primer hole in the empty hull.

Some hulls stretch more than others and can create a few problems in that area also. Adjust the wad guide hight accordingly. Hap
