Well 8's work all the way back to the 27 yard line. The other night at practice we felt like having some fun, so we started up a 27 yard squad. I never shoot that far back, the furthest I've ever shot was 25 (except for Annie Oakley), and I was shooting my homemade 8's. Almost every shot just smashed the bird, and I ended up with high score of 21/25. So I guess 7.5's would probably work too...Josh

I've been experimenting with 7/8oz 8.5's from the 16yd line. Mod choke. (.018)Work great. I actually did well with them back at the 24yd line, the other night, with a 23 out of 25. 7.5's for everything else. Dave T.

25 years on 27, and I have never shot anything but 71/2s before May. Once it gets warm my .032 choke will break 27 yd birds with 9's & ink spots w 8's & 7 1/2's

2x8=16 and 3x8=24, therefore 8s can be used from the 16 to the 24 yard line. HMB
