I'm getting ready to make a shim for my 870 so I can offset the stock a little to the right. My question is, What should I make this shim out of? I would like a little insite from anyone who's done this before. Thanks in advance.
Years ago, I had a gooey pad installed at the Cal. State Shoot and the guy had also had stock shims (cast on/off) for 870's-110's. He had them made at Tap Plastics and were very well done. It does not take much of a shim thickness to get a desired result. For any of you handy guys who shoot Rems. and need adjustment, this could be a nice winter project. I cannot understand why Rem. does not make them.
