I was wondering if an 870 trigger pull could be made lighter like an 1100 trigger by cutting small amounts off the spring. Are they the same design? A friend is asking about his new turkey gun.

    Thanks Tim

Yes, you can cut off the spring to lighten the pull on an 870. But be careful and only take off about 1/4 turn at a time. It is very easy to take off too much and end up with a dangerous trigger. Better to end up with a pull that is a little too heavy than one that is too light.

Thanks I'll use a trigger gauge and do just a little at a time.I've done my 1100 and had good results
