870 Competition innards

    Here are a few pics of the workings of the 870 Competition.As you can see there is a big difference from the standard 870s.I have only shot this gun a few times.It has the overbored barrel and the reverse monte carlo stock that came standard from the factory.I also have the box and the manual.It is just a nice old gun.Thanks for looking.

    PS, what do ya mean by "reverse monte carlo" stock?

    Actually I think this is a non monte carlo, trap stock, allows the 870 Comp to shoot a higher POC than the 870 TC/TB trap guns without any modifications such as an adjustable comb...but that is only a guess on my part!...LarryB

    Dave,Just wanted the shooters who have never seen the 870 competitions have a chance to see what they are made of,My catalog shows 1982 for the first year they were made..28 year old gun..

    Wish my "innards" looked as clean and new as yours! Burnt powder and time sure changes looks.[hmmmmm...just looked in the mirror..happens everywhere!]
