1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I have a friend who is selling a 870 comp gun with a 30 inch factory barrel with a add on rib ! Gun has adjustable comb and adjustable buttplate! Gun has wear on the recv bluing wood has several flaws and there is some parts gone from the gas system so i would say that the gun is a very good shooter or maybe a good youth starter gun or maybe just another gun to set in somones safe ! BUt he only want 400.00 for it and I would guess the rib to cost That ! Can email pics tommorow may even post Thanks

I have a friend who might be very interested in this gun. But you should be aware that most of the recoil reduction system parts are no longer available from Remington. The person from whom I recently purchased my 870 Competition was smart enough to pick up an extra set of them when he could. Without them, the gun becomes just a heavier 870TC.

Please send photos and a list of the missing parts (the owner's manual will help you identify what isn't there) to me at the email address above (drop the "x").

I'd like to see better photos of the rib primarily to determine if it can be easily and cleanly removed. Also, some good shots of the wood would be nice. I think anyone seriously considering the purchase of this gun will have those same concerns.
