I found a Remington 870 or 1100 trigger group that fires when you release the trigger. It is marked Schwab Findlay O 8 71, if any one has info on this please let me know what it was used for?
    Thanks,
    Wayne Lee

    Wayne,
It's a standard Remington 870/1100 trigger assembly that was converted by Schwab from pull to release. A release trigger is a simple remedy for shooter's that flinch which means, without a lot of detail, they cannot pull a trigger consistently. I own a couple of these and could use a spare if your interested in selling it.

Is it interchangable between an 870 and 1100? Because the factory 870 and 1100 trigger groups won't interchange.

    Brian,
You're absolutely correct. I have a trigger assembly that I use on a 11-87 or 1100, but not on the 870.

Top Gun, is the 1100 and 1187 trigger groups interchangeable? Do the Schawb's have the button to "deset" the trigger in case you don't want to shoot after already setting the trigger? .......................Jim G

    DocJim,
Yes, you can interchange the trigger assemblies between the 11-87 and 1100. The trigger assembly I refer to came with a 11-87 trap gun and I now have it in a 1100 skeet gun. I always assumed I had a Schawb conversion but not a 100% sure. Yes it can be aborted, once set, by pushing the button/lever on the right side of the trigger guard (forward). Also the cross bolt trigger safety is replaced by a brass dowel.
