I bought a bag of 8 1/2 and plan on loading 1 1/8, 19 grans of red dot with a windjammer wad for singles, how do you like 8 1/2 for 16's?

I use 1 0unce and 7/8 ouence loads with 17 grs clays - either load smokes 16 yard targets with my full choke

well, you certainly won't have any excuses for missing. If you gun likes them, they are great for 16s. I use them is 7/8 and 1oz loads to save bucks and recoil. More than enough pellets to do the job.

8 1/2's have always worked for me on 16's! Not to bad on the first shot of doubles either!

Unless recoil has NO effect on you, go with 18 gr of RedDot and 1 oz of 8 1/2s. More than capable at 16 yds, and REAL FUN to shoot!
