Maybe one of our cronies can explain a few things.

    1. Why did we have to pay $700,000 for a computer system when a cheaper system had been offered?

    2. Why can't the ATA get the nearly million dollar system to work?

    3. Who is the rocket scientist behind this fiasco?

I have heard some tournament officials are worried they might have to eliminate target requirements.

Are we talking a computer system or the software, if so, what cheaper software was offered?

Go to a shoot and have them swipe your ATA card....it won't work.

Yardage and target confirmation is impossible now.

    Joe Potosky,

I was told the cheaper system was $130,000.

I was told nameisjoe will have pigs flying out his ass at the next shoot and we should all bring landing nets to catch them and frying pans for the free pork chops.

Don't worry about my source, I was told, so it must be right.

Well, Joe, that just proves that you've never been to a trap shoot before.

No shoot is tied directly into the ATA's computer system. Not even the Grand.

Ask your delegate what problems this will create for larger shoots where the yardage and targets are confirmed on the computer.

Many people do not even bring the paper card. They assume the person classifying you will swipe the card and get the info off the computer.

No Joe but it is kept on the shoot reports that the gun clubs send to the ATA. John

And none of that info is put into a computer?

Why do you think we have cards that can be swiped at the shoot registration?

You can explain why we spent 700k on a system that isn't working.

Also, explain to the rest how that could impact shoots that have target requirements.
