Bling - thanks for thoughts on International. Been thinking about that powder so as to get the speed up without the pressure going too high. How do you like the performance?

Great! I have used many different powrers, red dot, green dot, clays, 700x,titewad,tightgroup 7625, 800x, and more that I can't recall. All good powders. I find International fits my needs the best. I have loaded it as light as 3/4oz for skeet in 12ga, recoil was like a .410 and it broke targets well. I also have loaded it with 1 1/8 oz at 1255fps that load will smash a target from the 27 and beyond. Check out Hodgdon website. Lots of very good powders out there, International just happens to be my fav. Pick up a pound and give it a try. Wayne

18.5 Nitro100 under a CB4100 wad in either STS or Nitro hulls is about 9500 psi according to the Accurate manual. According to my chrono, they are at 1475 fps!

I really like 17.5 gr of Nitro100 for 7/8oz loads at approximately 1325 fps.

I thought I would add/ask on this issue also. I have been loading 20.6 g of International in a remmy hull, fio 616 primer,DR hot pink wad and 7/8 of 7.5. Nice load, however always has left some unburnt powder in the bbls. It has turner cooler & now getting some off sounders & dirtier bbls.

thinking of using up some E3 now that it's cooler. Alliant a little limted on formulas, anybody know of a good E3 load using remmy hulls, win primers, DR pinks, & 7/8 running about 1325 for bunker ? many thanks

Looks like Clays too, would be a good bunker powder.

Hat, not using Clays but presently using Clay Dot @ 20.5grs @ approx. 1325fps. and trying to stay under 10,000psi. This load of 8's with a IM choke destroys them. Would like to bump it up just a little more to around 1350 but stay under 10,000psi.

Hatshooter, try different wad and primer. I have no problem with off sounding shells or anything at all left in the barrel with my loads. I put them in the freezer for 3 days then test fire 10-15 of them no problem. And I am dropping 18.3-18.5 gr of International 1200 to 1215fps out of my md 12. 7/8oz. Good Luck and break em All! " Andy, thanks.

What primer with the Nitro load?"

Either Wolf or Cheddites do fine. I prefer Wolfs.
