Have any of you replaced the springs and firing pins in your 682 yourself? Looks to be difficult. I would like to see a video of how it's done. Are there any out there? Thanks, Tim

It's pretty simple. Although there is a fair amount of tension required to pull back the spring, you actually only need to move it far enough to release it from the hammer and then it pops upward to come out.

To take out the firing pins, you see two pins stacked on top of each other that each need to be punched out. Be careful when you punch the top one, it also holds the top latch assembly, you'll want to keep track of those three parts.

You should be able to change both springs and pins inside 10 minutes.
