Still a lot of debate over wether the use of that weapon was necessary but one thing is for sure - it changed the world forever. Hope we never use another one.
Don't expect me to shed a tear for a country that tortured and killed tens of thousands of Americans, and tortured and killed hundreds of thousands Chinese, Koreans and Filipinos.

My Dad would have been part of the invading force if we had had to go into Japan. Millions would have died in house to house fighting. No mention today of Japanese atrocities at Nanking or the Philippines or any of a dozen other places, only anti-American cliches.
Years ago, there was a Japanese-American journalist at the Hiroshima memorial crying about what happened there and how could Americans have done such thing.
I wonder if she stopped in Hawaii and went to the Arizona Memorial and shed some tears for the 1177 sailors lost with her. People don't want to remember the Bataan Death March, the Rape of Nanking, or Unit 731. I think of the broken hulk of the Arizona and figure that, as was said earlier, you mess with the bull, you get the horns.
May she, the Arizona, and her crew rest in peace...
otherwise it would be #&%$ brits, scots, irish, italians,spaniards, mexicans, vietnamese,somalians, iraqi's, afghani's, chinese, french, oh, I forgot, russians, germans.....
