Anybody catch 60 min? Lesley Stahl was just flabergasted that American companies were moving overseas to avoid 35% taxes. The second highest rate of any country out there. You had to see it to believe the amount of stupidity in the segment.

And our dumb a$$ politicians can't figure out how to fix it. Lower the taxe rate! Watch the companies and the jobs come back. It's not rocket science you bunch of morons.

Next election do your talking. If they are in office vote em out! We can't keep going down this road! Rant over, Bill

Leslie Stahl is a dim bulb like all liberals. I don't watch that show at all, it raises my blood pressure too much.

And to add...who do they think actually pays that 35% tax? It gets passed to the consumer.

The Gun Doc got it. There should be no, repeat NO, income tax on corporations. Corporations are owned by individuals; individuals pay taxes on their income from all sources; taxes are merely an expense to corporations, which are included in cost of goods produced, to which are added profits. Consumers buy corporate-produced goods, so consumers pay corporations' taxes. Democrats will never understand this, which is why as long as they are in power corporations will continue to take manufacturing overseas at the expense of American jobs. The country is being run by clowns, who are elected by idiots. We be in trouble, folks.

Remember when we were taught that tax on tax was unconstitutional?

I quit watching 60min years ago when I realized it was just a left wing propaganda machine for the most part.

I knew since the 70's where it leaned, and seldom watch it since the Dan Rather/Geo Bush fake National Guard fake story, but last night they did a story about "Top Gear" and I found it interesting.

Flat tax won't work. People like misskeet410 would have to pay too and revolt.

Setterman good point, but now you guys are calling for us to put on our tin foil hats, as a flat tax makes too much sense and it would cause liberals everywhere to have brain freeze and meltdow.

Mental hospitals would be overrun and it would put a terrible strain on our healthcare system.

So, I'm just trying to get my head wrapped around this.

Am I supposed to buy American and support the government's outrageous 35% tax on American companies, or am I supposed to buy Chinese and support the American companies that have told the government to go f**k themselves and sent jobs overseas?

Read the interesting article. Most corporations need to spend money to make money. If they have to buy products to run there corporations, that creates corporate tax deductions. At the same time it creates jobs and income tax from those supplying corporations. So, around and around the economy goes with these corporations, until they decide to transfer there operations or headquarters overseas, for larger corporate profits and less income tax paid to the good old USA. And so goes the economy and deficits.

Tax is a non issue if we don't get the spending in line.

Taxes and spending should parallel each other. Otherwise you end up like what we have now. Pretty simple actually.

What I was trying to say is The US has a 35% tax on corporate profits which is forcing corporations to have their corporate offices overseas. They can still manufacture their product here. Digest that.

If they move their corporate head quarters overseas they pay the tax rate there. Ireland 12% some places in Sweden 12 to 18% the US 35%. Where would you locate your head quarters?

All I have to say is our politicians are not smart enough to figure this out. Lower the rate! They will all come back! It's about money. 12% is way better than 0%. We are not talking millions we are talking trillions! Bill

Too many people are worried about Obama being re elected. By the time 2012 comes around the people who would have voted for him are going to be so down in the dumps with financial depression that he will not have a chance. He is going to get sucked into this unempoyment situation big time. people do strange things when they are broke and it aint gettin better contrary to what the Obammy admin wants us to think and 2012 is a long way off and that is not in his favor. Every day that goes by makes it tougher and tougher for him so sell his Kool Ade.
