That's good shooting. Having been on a 499 squad, I know the pressure.

    Nice shooting guys.

Quite the feat. I believe Phil Kiner was on a squad that shot a 499. I'm not going to reveal who missed.

Kiner was on a 999x1000 squad and he has the tee shirt that tells who missed it.

I was there, and not only a great feat, the boys I spoke to on the squad said it wasn't fun, the pressure was so great. They are 5 very, very good shooters and though a little luck must of been had, they also had the talent. Bruce

I've been on two 499 squads and was never the one that missed. However, I was on a 498 squad at 7-10 G. C. in Lenexa, KS where we were all straight up to our last 10 birds. More pressure than anything in trapshooting cause you're not just shooting for your score, but all the others on the squad. I missed my 92 nd bird. Cold feeling like death approaching came over me when I missed that target. Then, Mark Warrell (God bless his pea-pickin soul) missed his 98th. The relief was so great I had to change my undies, and that was an hour away.

Congrats to the 500/500 squad. Only they and a few others know the pressure involved.

Frankly, I'm not that good a singles shooter - high B, Low A - but one day I carried a straight to the last post.

I shoot with 4 other AA shooters (don't ask, I don't know why they tolerate me either). Anyway, I up and miss the 98th bird - by a MILE, as a B shooter might.

Nobody said a word, but two of these AA shooters proceeded to drop one of their last two, they were thinking about me so much instead of minding their own store.

I can't imagine the pressure. Mostly becuase its usually not a factor for me.

It would be fun to try once, though....
