Many members here come to Florida. If you're one of them, be advised: DHS has declared that they have the right to confiscate ANY electronic devise, cellphone, laptop, etc....ANYWHERE within 100 mi. inland from America's borders. That encompasses ALL of Florida. Your fourth amendment protection from unreasonable search and seizure has been removed while in Florida.
While you're here visiting the Sunshine State...a DHS agent may seize your cellphone, laptop etc. without probable cause or warrant.
Please note: I'm not following up with a rant, or opinion...just posting FACT.
If the link doesn't work, do your own research..."google DHS border search."

It's OK because every uniformed thug who is willing to do this to his/her fellow Americans will have the blessing of Gene7777777.

If it is a policy that W and Obama have in common, whoever is on the other side had better run for the hills.

    Thank You Brian.
It is incomprehensible to me as I watch our Federal government quietly re-structure our country into a 21st century version of Nazi Germany.
You gotta know if Hitler had Drones...he would have made the exact same argument for murdering his citizens that we are getting from Obama.
AND NOBODY SEEMS TO CARE...!!!!! (the yelling is intentional...wake up folks..!!)

Does anyone here remember the huge hue and cry when that evil Richard Nixon and his Attorney General, the Monster..John Mitchell...were pushing for "NO-Knock" authority...???
Can you imagine..?? They wanted law enforcement to be able to Enter a premise where a crime was imminent without having to knock first and identify themselves.
According to the Democrats at that time...such a policy was unconstitutional. Fast forward to the 21st century...and we don't have to worry about knocking...we just fly a drone in and kill everybody, and it's a liberal Democrat President giving the kill orders.

As I recall, all the large cities in Fla. (& all the USA) voted Dem. They deserve it, the rest of us don't.

They don't deserve it, nor was it OK with Bush any more than with Obama... this is a total bypass of the 4th, just like Patriot Act hit the 5th and 6th and 8th.

Our Fedral Law enforcement agencies are completely out of control. Both Dems and Repubs ought to be united in Impeacment process Now. Get him Out, jail Holder, replace him with somebody that actually understands and obeys the LAW as the Constitution states. If they have a question, make the question a matter of open debate within Congress.

I gotta agree this is becoming one large central government dictatorship.

The 4th amendment started to have no meaning a hundred years ago with the passage of the income tax. Think about it - unreasonable searches, secure in your papers??

Then come April 15, you a required to submit a written report of your life in the last year. You report where you work, live, your employer, how much you make, where you bank, how much you have in the bank, the names of the companies you hold stock and bonds in and how many shares. If you itemized they know your house payment, how much you spent on dental, medicines, doctors............................................................................................. "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects........" Are you secure with your papers come April 15??

    Bisi -

I'm confused. Where on the federal tax forms do you have to provide information on where you bank, how much you have in the bank, names of companies you hold stock/bonds in, and your house payment? You also don't have to provide details on what you spent for dental, medicine, or doctors.

    Can you clarify?

Maybe he is talking about your various deductions, and a bank for a direct deposit if a refund is coming.

I think you would be more open for exposure during a I.R.S. audit, than a yearly tax return.

The IRS gets all your financial information by virtue of the 1099's. your banking insitutions sends to the IRS and you on reported income and interest payments to prove the filings of your tax returns.

They make attachments and liens on peoples accounts and other assets everyday. How could they not do so, if they did not have all your financial information???

We were told Tuesday at our gun club monthly meeting that there will be no advertising with the word gun on any of the major networks very soon.

This came from a club member that works in advertisining at NBC. He stated that CNN and ABC are adopting the same or similar policy with help from the government.

So, kiss the 1st goodbye also.

Scott, you are required to report your dividends on the stocks you own. You report that you received $100 in dividends from XYZ corp, the IRS can find that XYZ paid a $! dividend last year so you must own 100 shares of XYZ and XYZ is trading at $50 a share so you have $5000 in XYZ stock. If you decide to sell your stock then you must report a capital gain/loss, so they know what you paid for your XYZ shares. Ditto for the stock you own in PG, APPL. KO. XOM.............. Same way with the money you have in the bank. They know everything about you, hell they know more about us than we do.

If you itemize they know how much you paid in interest on your home, how much you spent on prescription drugs, with the dentist ..............
