Does anyone have any loading info for Winchester 473AA powder in 45 ACP. 200 and 230 gr bullets. Thanks in advance for any help.

Don't remember seeing any data from Winchester, or any other sources for that matter. Some Winchester powders are the same as some of the Hodgdon powders. 540 and 571 are HS6 and HS7. 296 is H110, WW760 is H414, etc. You might contact Hodgdon and see if they know whether that is the case with WW473AA.

I used 473AA many years ago for handicap loads and 452AA for singles. I would think 473AA would be a little slow for a pistol load. Just my 2 cents.

I concur with Rick Barker. Nothing in my old WW factory manuals covering that powder for that caliber. A bit too slow in my opinion.

Thank you guys, I know that 452aa was loaded for the 45acp. I will check with Hodgdon and see what they have to say.

Try to find a Speer #11 manual, I think 1987. Has data for 473AA with .45acp. Click on the link for some info.

The number 11 Spear manual that I have list loads for 200 GR lead SWC. 200 GR Hollow point, and 230GR TMJ

At least the one I have does so that is the book you are looking for I would say.

    Bob,

I have to say that when someone is looking for information, you are the man that can come up with it and show it on a thread on here. Thanks for those things that you do like that. Those things are helpful to everyone.

I second that Bob, thanks for the help. I have about 7 lbs OF 473AA and a new Springfield Armory Range Officer and now I will put the Dillon to work.

Carey I won't give people recipes that aren't published, In this case they are published and I just happen to have the manual in the discussion.

So I scanned some pages and made a post to see if you could use what I have. If it helps I am glad and I hope maybe it will help others that might also have a use for it.
