A friend of mine just gave me about 7 Lb of WW 473 AA powder. I remember using this stuff for 20 ga target loads about 25 years ago but I don't have any of the old data for it. I would like to use it up in 28 ga target loads but I'm not sure if this is a workable combo. Does anyone have data for using 473 AA in 3/4 Oz 28 gauge loads?

wolfram, the powder is to fast for 28 Gage, but works well with 20 ga and 12 ga Handicap loads. Its burning speed is similar to Green Dot. I have several old winchester manuals and if you have specific load you want information on let me know. 28 gage utilizes W 540 or W 571 (HS-6 or HS -7 ). Richard

Being an old reloader, I have used my weight in 473 for 20 ga skeet loads, but do not remember ANY loads for it with the 28. Best stick to the 20.

Thanks Richard, kind of what I remember about 473AA. I guess I could burn it up in 12 ga handicap loads. Got a recipie for 1 1/8 Oz in Federal GM hulls?

Just checked my older WW reloading mauals that I saved over the years...They do not list ANY RELOADING DATA for the 28 gauge with this powder...WW 540 & 571 is listed for use for your 28 gauge in this older manual...Maybe you can trade with some one.... That is a great powder for the 12/20 gauges, & pistol.......Pete
