This is a picture of the timeless Vesco "Family" 444 car. Car has been running in various configurations since 1957 when it started running with a modified Model A engine! Today, it runs a highly sophisticated SB Chevy. Vesco and company lost two engines this week, finished the week with a smaller "D" class engine and ran well above 330 mph maybe touching 350. Drivers include Dave Spangler; Mr. Spangler used to own Hooker Headers.

Now the racing Vescos have done it all...from motorcycles to LSR cars. They now have relocated from San Diego to southern Utah. They have a turbine powered streamliner that has gone well over 470 mph, but don't have the funds to run it at this time. They need a sponsor to help them run the "Turbinator"...

In a flawless world, wouldn't it be so cool if the Martins saw fit to be a patron to not only trapshooting, but to a really fast car (500 mph+ potential, wheel driven) out of Utah with the name of "Vernal Trap Club" included on the side of the car? We can kinda wish???

Anyway, #444 is, IMO, timless and beautiful in form and line...here, pictured, at the start of the long course.

A Family car, yes, but not a grocery getter!
