1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

I am listing this gun for a friend. This is a Perazzi MX8 SCO Sideplate Dianna Goddess of the Hunt. The gun is engraved and signed by Carlo Pasotti who is a very desirable Perazzi engraver. The gun serial number is 110XXX. Gun has a drop out trigger with a selector.

The gun comes with 2 barrels that are all serial numbered to the gun. First barrel is an over/under 29 1/8 inch barrel. Weight is 1.610 with the 18.4 bore. The barrel is all original only thing that has been done is Briley thinwall chokes were installed. These are series S-55 and comes with a full set of thinwall chokes 5 total
Second barrel is a 34” top single with a fixed choke FULL with 18.4 Bore. This barrel is all original

The stock is a beautiful SCO stock with a Soft Touch recoil system. Dimensions are 1 ¼ X 1 ¼ Parallel comb at the lowest setting but has a 4 way adjustable comb. LOP on the stock is 14.25 but I have been told that the soft touch can be increased an additional ¼ of an inch to get to a LOP of 14.50
The gun is in excellent condition with only a few minor bluing marks on the barrels only. The receiver is in excellent condition.
The seller is asking $29,999 for the gun as a combo but will entertain all reasonable offers. I also have a 3rd barrel for this gun that is a 29.875” barrel that is fixed choke but is a different serial number. The seller will allow either the 3rd barrel to be bought with the gun or buyer can chose between the two over/under barrels. Call me for any questions or inquiries. 209-830-0199 thank you, Bruno

I've seen this gun in person, and although these pic's are great on here, nothing can compare to seeing this in person. This is an example of the best Perazzi can build you if you have the coin. l.g.

Stan, I don't think Bruno ever indicated it's a factory sideplate gun.

Sorry, I was just curious about who did this interesting job, using extended factory pattern but didn't follow factory coverage.

Just to answer your question, (for some reason, my PM doesn't work at this moment, and I have a hard time going up to this site), here are couple things:

The factory sideplate gun even in the lowest grade (which is SCO) will still have Bulino engravings extended beyond the removable side plates (With the exception of one or two non-Bulino patterns).

The factory sideplate guns will not show side plate seams (gaps) between receiver and side plates.

The factory sideplate guns will have a flatter shoulder.

The factory sideplate guns have a different wood to metal angle.

The factory engraved gun will have engravings on barrel shoulders, in different patterns according to grades.

Factory combos will have consecutive ser. #s on the barrels, it'll not have two barrels with the same ser. #.

JFYR, here's one of my factory gun for you to compare:

My guess is, the subject gun's conversion was done locally. Like this one while in process: In most cases, engraver will cover the side plate seams with properly positioned patterns.

It's not much of a cost saving, but you can choose your pattern.

    A "real" sideplate comparison?

    For future ref. if deleted

Like I stated in the original ad, I am listing this for a friend of mine and he is the original owner of the gun. I will get a hold of him and Lucio and get updated information on the gun. I do have with the gun the original Confirmation of Order form from the Perazzi dealer that the owner ordered the gun from and this is the exact verbiage on the order form:

"Confirmation of Order for Perazzi Shotgun to be Custom Engraved by Carlo Pasotti"

I think Bruno has been mislead by his friend, or his friend had been mislead by the dealer.

Lucio can verify the gun by ser. #s. (once you did, this gun will be in Perazzi record as an XX).

I just hope his friend didn't pay the Perazzi price for it.

Hey Bob62864, I have 100% feedback on ebay for over 15 years worth of transactions. my user name is loanman1911 on ebay. my user name on gunbroker is lombardo96 and perfect feedback. LOOK BOTH OF THEM UP

I have done MANY transactions on trapshooters which were all positive. so you don't know what the H%^LL you are talking about. I am not trying to scam anyone. I am simply helping a friend who is not good with computers list a gun, plain and simple.

I can attest to Bruno being a man of his word and I'm on the other side of the Country from him ! I would expect that someone other than he got things mixed up ie the owner of the Gun !! I'm also sure if that's the case Bruno will be first to post it here ! I think we all should read the following more often:

If you want people to respect your submission please add your real name to your post.

Remember: Its easy to forget that you are responding to a person who can't see your face, hear your tone of voice, or judge your mood. You only have written words to communicate your point. Ask yourself if you would say this to that person's face before pressing Submit Message.

Make a good impression by taking the time to use correct spelling and grammar. Responses are stronger when they are clear, concise, and on topic. Avoid shouting: Responses written with all capital letters symbolize shouting. Use capital letters sparingly. A message in all caps is considered rude.
