366 powder tube and powder bushing throws

Anyone else find that they don't need all the powder bushings out there? I mean, when loading I'm finding on my 366 that you can kind of 'skip' a bushing or two by either leaving your powder baffle in or by taking it out and by keeping the tube more than half way full you can adjust sometimes as much as 1 grain. For example I'm using a 438 Hornaday powder bushing which the bushing site for imr 700x powder says shouldn't throw more than about 17.8 grains when you figure it. But, With a 438 bushing and a tube without the baffle and more than half full I'm getting a consistant 18.3-18.5 throw. Now again, you have to be on top of your powder tube to do this. But if you have the time and patience you can save a few bucks on bushings. Jim
