1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

I don't believe the the BT 99 is a stainless. It looks like it has a blued barrel. The ones that I have seen have a stainless steel barrel and a stainless steel receiver. A fellow shooter has a stainless and it is how I explained.

The bt-99 is definatley not a stainless. The reciever may be stainless but that would mean the for arm iron and barrel are not origional to the gun...hence the value goes down. Byg

I was told by Browning at the Grand last year that they never made a stainless receiver on a BT99 or Citori. They told me that the barrel and "some" trigger guards are the only stainless parts. I was questioning about some corrosion on my "stainless BT99" trigger guard at the time.

Up for two Great looking guns. Wish I had a few extra bucks for the citori. Stainless or not they look to be in great shape. Somebody please give a honest opinion on what they are worth, I want the citori.

All parts are matching serial numbers. Blue Book lists Stainlees BT-99 "all stainless construction Invector plus chokes, 32 or 34" black V.R. barrel. Last MSRP $2240.00. Manufactured 93-94.

Some of you guys with nothing better to do than run down someone's thread may want to call S.P. Fjestad and tell him his Blue Book is wrong. Then if the weather is too bad to shoot, go find another hobby.

In the Blue Book explanation, it says black ventilated rib barrel. I believe that you misunderstood what they were saying. The ventilated rib is black and not the whole barrel. Stainless steel models have a shinny steel barrel and receiver. Not cutting down your gun, just trying to help clarify things. Tom

I have seen newer guns with the blued barrel/stainless receiver but never this model. Click on the link above. This is what a BT-99 Plus Stainless looks like. Better pics further down in the thread. It is clearly marked Stainless on the Barrel.
