308 Ammo

    I;m looking for a source for bulk 308 cal. ammo for target and plinking....any ideas? Thanks WC

    If your referring to 308 winchester/7.62x51 your better off rolling your own from components. The cheapest commercial ammo starts at around $18 a box. The 7.62x51 missurp from what I see is going for around 60 cents a round.

    Isn't anything cheap these days. Eric sells Wolf for around $0.47 each (a lot of stuff is $1 or more) and there is no shipping and no penalty for credit card purchase. It usually shows up on your doorstep in the same week if you order on Monday. Good luck.

    Sometimes at gunshows the 200 round battle pack South African can be had for $120 (it used to be $40). Berdan primed.

    Beware of the wolf. much of it is remanufactured ammo and doesn't have very good quality control.

    Big 5 is selling Russian made 308 for $9.99/20.
