you cannot shorten the tube but you do not need to. I made one up for my wife. It has a length of pull of 13 inches so I know you can take enough off the stock to accomplish what you want. Then if needed you can just add spacers to lengthen later

Thank you very much, I am wanting to get in the 12 inch range for my grandson to shoot. Would you know where a cut off stock could be obtained? Thank You Tim Dearth

I don't know of any for sale. You won't be able to accomplish 12". 13" is as close as you can get and I even ground down the nut to get another 1/8"

One way to obtain a short stock on a 303 is to exchange the recoil tube with a 390 tube and then you can shorten it a lot. It will work but you will have to make a spacer for the bolt to hold the stock on as they mount up differently. Not a difficult conversion at all. In fact it may help make the 303 more reliable yet in light load operations.

Give Dan Suggs a call in Maryland. His number is 1-410-688-1514. He will have the used parts you need and will help lead you in the right direction. He makes all kinds of expensive aftermarket parts for Beretta autos. So know what you want not what he hopes you buy. Tell him your intentions on shortening the gun for a kid and he should have everything you need. I might have some of the parts myself if you don't get his help let me know.
