I use a P/W press and need some suggestions for skeet loads for both AA and STS hulls.

We have tried Unique, Hs-6, 540, Long Shot, 20/28, and Universal Clays. We are most fond of 20/28 by a lot over the others then, Unique and Long Shot. Only two wads will work in well both hulls, the Remington Pt 28 and the Claybuster #CB5034-28HSA. Be sure you get the A on the end of Claybuster wad.

I really like Hodgdon HS-6 (same as Win 540). It does not take up too much room so you can get factory looking crimps. It is fairly soft shooting compared to the other powders. It can be loaded from 1200 to 1250 fps.

I have been using Longshot in the 28 and the 20 with good results.

I used unique for years in the old AA. When AA supply ran out switched to STS. Could not get them to load. Tried every thing the the reloading book.

Ran in to the Alliant rep at th VA sporting clays shoot. Told me about 20/28.

Loaded perfectly! I was even able to increase the max shot allowed by NSSA.
