Found myself lifting my head at our calcutta last night. It of course ruined my score for my and my partner. So today after seeing another shooter fire a round with his 28-i asked him if i could shoot it for a round. No flinch keep -head down.shot a 22 score. I will from now on take my 28 and warm up from 16 yards with it!!

It think the take away from that shooting experience should be that maybe you should shoot lighter or slower loads from your 12 gauge to reduce recoil.

I have an 870 28ga. with a monte carlo stock so it shoots high. I use it all the time from 16 yds. If I point it right it smokes targets. I can run them just as well as my 12 ga. only more fun! Mike.

Shooting singles, and especially doubles, with a small gage is fun. But, it can also make a gun that has never kicked hard with trap loads kick very hard.

I have been shooting the Winchester Super Target AMMO the stuff that is 1145 FPS in 1 1/8 oz loads and they are very light and just crush targets.

Winchester is now selling 1oz loads ordered a flat for my first shot in doubles.
