Thanks for letting me share these with you. A lot of hard work and training where put in by these shooters as well as many of the shooters that participated. I wasn't able to make this shoot but I was certainly there in spirit.

Thankfully the heat broke the day before the start and despite my scores, I had a great time. There were some great scores posted, I believe Ryan Hadden only dropped 7 targets all weekend which is very impressive. I can't wait for next year!

The match was at Hill Country Shooting Sports in Kerrville, TX. This was the Fall Selection match sanctioned by USA Shooting.

Please go to the USA Shooting website for details on all matches and how to enter.

The matches are open to anybody with a current USA Shooting membership.

Bunker is fun but tremendously difficult. The top shooters make this game look easy - believe me, it isn't. You see a good mix of gender and demographics at the matches, lots of juniors trying to establish themselves. One of the things I like about the format is the random squadding - you do not get to pick your squad - you shoot with whoever the computer selects. So you might get to shoot with some really good athletes and you may get to shoot with a scrub (like me) but there is no cherry picking of squads. Unless they run the match using a score ranking (like they did for this match) in which case the top shooters usually get to shoot with each other. The exception was training day (official practice day) which was random draw.
