Drew Shaw of Toronto, Canada and member of the Canadian National Team was crowned as the 2011 Krieghoff-Haldeman Cup Champion in Olympic Trapshooting this past weekend at the Keystone Shooting Park facility near Dalmatia, Pennsylvania. Jacob Gogno of Cressona, Pennsylvania was the Silver Medalist and Allen Chubb of Elizabethville, Pennsylvania won the Bronze Medal. Drew will take this victory onto his next event in which he will represent Canada at the Pan-American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico the middle of next month. This will the last opportunity to win a country quota slot for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Drew will train for this event at Keystone Shooting Park over the next few weeks before flying onto Mexico.

Krieghoff International, Inc. of Ottsville, Pennsylvania sponsored the event and shared the title on the trophy with Donald S. Haldeman of Souderton, Pennsylvania as a tribute to his memory. Don was the 1976 Olympic Gold Medalist in Men's Trap at the 21st Olympiad in Montreal, Canada and won his medal with his K-32 shotgun. This is an annual event and scheduling of the 2012 edition will be announced later this year.

    Other winners included:

Ladies Champion = Ann Jardin - Mexico, New York

Seniors Champion = Paul Mullen - Laurel, Maryland

Junior Champion = Jacob Gogno - Cressona, Pennsylvania

Please note that the last photo clearly shows the clay target sailing on its path, while Ann Jarin of Mexico, New York is a split second away from crushing it. The Board of Directors of Chubb International Shooting Sports, Inc. and Keystone Shooting Park would like to thank Dieter Krieghoff and Alex Diehl for their support of this event. We would also like to thank our patrons which made this event a total success.

    Best Regards,

Allen Chubb - President - Chubb International Shooting Sports, Inc.
