2010 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS - MUNICH

    Shooting Community, HELP YOUR FELLOW SHOOTERS!

    The United States Olympic Committee has a monthly male, female, and team Athlete(s) of the Month. Numerous athletes from all sports are nominated each month and the public votes.

    This month, Matt Emmons and Rachael Heiden are nominated in the individual category and the Men's 50 Meter Prone Rifle Gold Medal World Championship Team (Matt Emmons, Michael McPhail, and Eric Uptagrafft) is nominated in the team category.

    Rachael was the 2010 Women's National Champion in Trap, 2010 Women's Junior Olympic Champion in Trap, and just recently was the Bronze Medalist at the 50th Annual World Championships in Munich. Three EXTREMELY prestigious titles in the month of July alone. She's the best in the USA & Third in the World! She deserves this! Let's help her!

    Matt Emmons (2004 Olympic Gold Medalist, 2008 Olympic Silver Medalist) won the first 2012 London Olympics Entry Quota Slot for the United States of America when he won the Bronze Medal at the 50th Annual World Championships in Munich in Men's 50 Meter Prone Rifle. Matt also finished 7th at the World Championships in his second event Men's 10 Meter Air Rifle. He's representing our country on the World level, he deserves to be recognized! Let's help him!

    The Men's 50 Meter Prone Rifle Gold Medal World Championship Team (Matt Emmons, Michael McPhail, and Eric Uptagrafft) won their second consecutive World Shooting Championship title shooting a 597x600, 598x600, and 596x600 for a team score of 1791. They pulled together as a team to represent the USA. These men are the best in the world at what they do, let's recognize them!
