I would not really care about what I won, the satisfaction of shooting with Leo and not losing is precious. It would have been nice to see how many Leo or both could have ran but I am glad there were no losers after all that. Leo is a real gentleman

I can't speak for Foster, but Leo had shot-off every night during Grand Week(one night getting home after one o'clock in the morning). For Leo that amounted to 1750 straight singles targets in addition to the program handicap and doubles targets, in other words, he was TIRED. As co-champs they win the same trophies and each gets an ATA ring. It would have been very sad and disappointing if a bad shell or a bad target had cost one or the other the championship. They are both champions in my eyes.

Karla put it as good as it could of been put. I have not been around the sport long but you do not have to be to know all the great things Leo has done for years. On the other hand to hear what Foster did and the age he is you know there is alot of young shooters in this sport that will remember that for a long time. Everybody want to win and to be called the very best. I don't know either of these men but I can't help but think that when it was called co-champions both were thiking about the respect for the other they have and what they have done in their shooting carrer and what is yet to come.

Shootoff record was 525 targets. Pretty much shattered that one. Set by Mike Blaisdell (525) and Brian Whalen (524) at the Eastern Zone Shoot at Elysburg, PA.

Congrats to both guys. I still can believe what both men accomplished.

    All

    Making a few assumptions.......<BR>

1800 Shoot off targets 13.3 cases of targets @ $9.10 per case is $121.00

1800 Shells is 72 boxes of AMMO @ $7.25 per box is $522.00

    Total ----- $643.00!

    Just perspective.....

Do you have to pay for targets that are in a shoot off? I don't think so but I could be wrong.

They are both champions, not only for their shooting abilities, but also for their sportsmanlike conduct and attitudes. We are lucky to have people like this in our sport. They inspire many of us.

I agree with both of them being sports man like, Ok I never heard of Forrest before the Clay target event but I did send him an email to praise him and I got an email back from him im sure he has a lot of spam and other email's to contend with but I want to say thank's to him for the email reply back it meant a lot to me.

Ok as far as Leo he has been a Champion for as long as I started shooting I remember when he used to shoot his old 1100 gun for years sorry to hear it was stolen. ok im tired so closing out this post.
