20 ga loads

    getting a new barrel for my 20 ga 1100 lt . what are some good loads for 7/8 oz 1200 fps .? i am using sts and aa old type hulls. have some duster wads to try. thanks charles

    Stick with Clays Universal for 7/8 loads...check Hodgdon book, but you can use 15.0 gr of Universal for a soft shooting load with Rem RXP wads,STS hulls and Rem 209 primers. With Win AA (old style), you can load a great 3/4 oz. load with 12.8 gr. of International Clays, Win WAA20 wad and Wind 209 primer - amazing breaks, low recoil. Might not cycle an 1100 LT. Always follow the book and weigh your charges. Best Regards, Ed

    how is win wsf powder for sts and old win hulls, duster wad 7/8 oz. shooting rem 20 ga lt. ??

    13.5 gr Red Dot or 12.8 gr 700X will put you right at 1200 fps.

    Winchester 209 primers

    Winchester WAA20 wad

    15 to 15.5 grains of Hodgdon Universal Clays powder
