2 - 50 bird derbys / which will most attend?

    Derby #1:

    Nice clubhouse (indoor toilets) (furnace & AC) / spray for mosquitoes regularly / 2 identical level fields / 6, 40' high 1500w lights on each / both fields throw ATA legal targets (9 1/2' high, straight-away from 2 & 4, 48 yards) / $40.00 entry

    Derby #2:

    Lean-to shelter (w/outhouse) and burn barrel / a can of OFF setting on the gun-rack / 1 field with trees at 65 yards, 1 field with drop-off at 15 yards / 1 has 3, 15' high 300 watt (usually all working), 1 has 2, 50' high 1000 watt / field 1 throws straight-aways from 1 & 5, 10' high, 51 yards / field 2 throws straight-away from 2 and a little outside of 5, ? high, ? yards (can't really measure) / $40.00 entry

    Derby #1: Every Tuesday nite, for 6 weeks, there were 3 50's, each won $39.00 / 4 49's, each won $11.50 / 3 47's, each won $8.00 / 4 44's, each won $6.00

    Derby #2: Tuesday's for 6 weeks, there was a 41 that won $178.00 / a 40 that won $119.00 / 2 37's each won $51.00 / 1 34 that won $102.00.

    Which one will you be attending next Tuesday?

    So why do we (some) think that perfectly set, easy targets will attract shooters to ATA shoots?

    Rudy, if not for the high "average" seekers running the sport, most shooters would shoot ATA targets where they (perceive) they have a chance of winning a little cash also. Maybe you shoulda waited a while longer before asking your question? Hap
