I have seen reloding data for 2 1/2 shells using AA's.
I have several old AA's and hate to see them go.
Does anyone know how cut them to size? What size?
I plan to load them on a mec 650. In order to get a good crimp I'll need a spacer below the shell. Any ideas? Thanks---Jon

The hulls are 12 guage. How short do you cut the hulls?

for 2.5" loads, the fired length would be 2.5"

    Here's what I do.
Take a dremel with the cutoff wheel like the one they show cutting a nail.
Mount the dremel in a tabel vise. Take a board and set a stop on it where you want the shell length. Make sure the rim hangs over the edge of the board so you can roll it with your finger. Set the board with shell on it under the cuttoff wheel where you want to cut. Clamp the board down and go at it. All you need to do is roll the hull and the cutoff wheel trims it straight and true. I can cut down fifty hulls in about 5 minutes. I wish I new how to post a picture on here but I'm not that good with a computer.
