Durand Sportsmans Club is going to honor Jon and Shirley Hayes for their almost 50 years of service to our club by hosting a 2 day Marathon Shoot. The shoot will be held the weekend of June 23rd and 24th. We will be shooting 500 singles targets on Saturday and 500 doubles targets on Sunday. There will be trophies for each 100 and 500 in both events and champion and runner-up for the over-all. There will be a pot-luck dinner Sat evening at 7:00. Bring a dish to pass, your own table service, and BYOB. We will provide baked chicken, coffee, and soft drinks. We hope to have our new Pat Traps installed by then and, as always, free pancake/sausage breakfast and hamburger/chips for lunch will be provided both days for all shooters. Come help us honor this great couple! If you have any questions, call Nancy Sine at (989)288-5606. Hope to see you there.

Jerald - what in life is guaranteed - other than death and taxes(sorry, George H.)? The distributor in Minnesota has said that he will try to get the traps to us by June 11th. If he does, we should have time to get the Laport Traps out and the new Pat Taps in. We have had quite a few good men volunteer to help if they are not working, fishing, etc. You would be a good man to have on board if you are going to be around. The distributor will call when he can give us a definite date and then we will let everyone who has volunteered to help know when the big event is going to begin. We would really like to have the Pats in for the Jon and Shirley Hays shoot - but we are not able to guarantee it.

Both Bill McNally and myself also had the great privilege of shooting 500 doubles with Jon and Shirley Hayes today. What great promoters of the sport and Durand Sportsmans Club.
