Here's an old pic from the 1959 Grand...some of the shooters and wives-
John and Gladys Parks, Ed and Gloria Sirlin, Dave and Mary Stanley, Ralph
Beavis, Wronski brothers, Robert Potter, my dad, Ted Philipbar...know some of the others, but I can't remember their names. Most are from Mass, NY, VT

Hey Jeff, who is that good lookin' guy top row 3rd from left??? Taconic trap Club was my favorite gun club to shoot....I really got mad at the bastards who helped close down Lordship in Conn. That was run by Amerigo. Simply a beautiful gun club to shoot at.....God did I like your father, he was a great man....I hope you are doing well...We are doing great in Colorado...I shoot alot of .22 rimfire competition, & some centerfire pistol....Pete LaBella

Look at the respectful mode of dress. I can still remember the start of the "come as you are" marketing blitz when I was a boy. It was the beginning of the dumbing down and coarsening of America. Gosh these people look so nice.

Those sure are highly respectful white t-shirts on some of those guys.

I do not see any FAT Trapshooters in that picture, it had to be Lean Times.

Fantastic Picture, would love to see more of the early Grands

Dr. Longshot it's funny you mention no fat people. I've noticed when looking at WW2 pictures you don't notice too many people overweight. I think this has just become a problem in the last 20-30 years.

Was that mode of dress respectful in 1959? And what is respectful anyway?

I see six guys in just their t-shirts

Respectful, shirts tucked in, belts on,clothes look clean, nice haircuts,no tattoos.no dumb sayings on shirts. I could go back to 1959. that was also a time of white socks and blue ribbon beer!

What you consider "respectful" today might have been considered down right rude from a 1959 Senior Vet.

Look at those guys shootin in their underwear or with their top button un-done, I even see the full bare arm on one of those gals. Do you notice the hats? all cocked off towards God knows where, and what the heck is the idea of puttin grease in your hair? Buncho slobs if you ask me.

No, they are all NY or New England shooters, nobody from PA.
