I inherited a Ferguson TO30 tractor. Need some input as to the type of transmission/hydraulic oil to use. The transmission dipstick shows nothing. Don't have a users/maintenance manual. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a TO 35 and it takes 8 gallons of SAE 80.

It would be a good idea to put some diesel fuel in the transmission case, and jack up one wheel and run for a few minutes, then jack up the other side and do the same thing, then drain and fill

I agree with Catpower, & if memory serves me correct, it takes 6 gal of 80-90w "hydraulic" oil. TO30s have a 4 speed gear trans, but you have to use the "hydraulic" oil instead on gear oil for the lift to work properly. Also if the shifter boot is missing or even split, you need to replace it or make sure the tractor doesn't sit out in the rain. Gene
