1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

    12g Model 12 Black Diamond Trap.30" full choke. 2 pin v/rib w/midbead.

DOM 1925. . Matching numbers on action and barrel. . There is no rust inside or outside this gun. Action is super clean, bore like mirror. Blueing seems to be original and in fantastic condition 95%. The proof mark and lettering are all very deep and crisp so probably original blueing. After market recoil pad but was fit very nicely. I have never even seen a model 12 this nice and I keep my eye out for them. Wood is in pretty good shape too just a couple minor scratches on 1 side. I have never fired the gun because I have only had it a few weeks.

My wife says I have no job so it has to go, stupid economy. I also only hunt and don't shoot any clays. I would never take this gun in the field.

I've done alot of research on the the value of this gun.

I'm asking 2,500.PRICE DROP TO 1,750 For now i'm not shipping it. I'm in orange county CA. If I can't get it moving in a week or two I will consider shipping for 50 bucks.

    I will consider trades +cash

    Trades I will consider are
Franchi 48-AL 12 gauge 26" BBL with screw chokes.
    Franchi 48-AL 28 gauge 26" BBL

Light weight gas semi auto shotguns in 12 and 20 with 26" BBL 3" chamber and screw chokes such as
    Winchester sx3 composite
    Browning gold light hunter
    Franchi 720

    Handguns
    Glock G 20 3rd gen
    T/C 410/45 pistol

T&A Armory in santa ana does PPT for FREE every sunday.

you might see some white lines on the guns that look like a scratch its dog hair stuck to the oil.

Did you just buy this gun? I thought I read something on shotgunworld.com (in the Winchester section) about someone just purchasing a very similar model 12?

Apparently this guy went to the same place as Kolardude for M 12 values.

    price drop to 2,000.

I see similar guns listed on gunbroker and cabelas in similar condition at abuot the same price.

In my area model 12's are really expensive for 1,000 you get a beat up field grade. Maybe nationaly its on the high side but in my area its not at all.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here. I thought nearly all of the early "black diamond" M 12's had a straight grip stock. The pistol gripped stock was the exception.

If the gun was not a reblue and did not have that pad your price would be very close.

My 1923 BD has a prince of wales style pistol grip, however, it also has a WRA grip cap.

guy referenced it for me on shotgun world. This pistol grip makes it very rare for that year. The 2 pin rib is correct. It is not supposed to have a grip cap.

    he said

From the pics you seem to have a two pin vent rib, Black Diamond buttstock and optional extra long extension forend which are all correct for a 1925 gun.Simi pistol grip Black Diamond stocks did not have a grip caps. Reference "THE GREATEST HAMMERLESS REPEATING SHOTGUN EVER BUILT BY DAVE RIFFLE" page 25.

Pretty much everyone seems to come out of the woodwork as some model 12 expert the funny thing is everyone says something different. I'm going with the people who have an actual reference.

    527varmit,

Didn't mean to throw doubt on your gun. I was just stating the fact that they did produce pistol grip BD's.

Dave, Paul Crosnoe, and Stu Wright have all examined mine and feel it is authentic.

Winchester must of made them both ways.

    Good luck on your sale.

    527varmit,

My post wasn't to dispute the authenticity of your gun, it was intended to add value as the pistol grip was quite rare on early model black diamonds.

I don't claim to be any sort of M 12 expert. In fact, I learn something new about the guns everytime one is poster here for sale.
