Just took this out yesterday. Wow! Great load. Really gets out there in a hurry and breaks targets well. I'm using reclaim shot. While I don't shoot too often from the 27 yd line I did shoot one round with it. 18 outta 25. From 16 to 22 yds it's pretty much a no-miss load. This was a AA new shell with a ClayBuster 3118 wad. Cheddite primers. Jim

Nothing like a nice loud load to entertain your squad mates!

I have to agree. I shoot 19.3 under an xl1 and its a great load to me. I've got about 4 flats loaded with that recipe right now.

I shoot 16.7 in a 1 oz. load and it also crushes targets! This is strictly a first shot doubles/sometimes singles load. Below are the details.

    16.7 gr Promo
    Rem Gun Club Hull
    1 oz Windjammer Wad
    Cheddite Primer
    1 oz 8's

    Regards,
    Matt Ski

What type of recoil do you get from this load? i'm almost done with 12 pounds of 700x and looking for a cleaner powder, my wife and daughter do not like to shoot any factory loads but love the 7/8 700x reloads.. thanks!

I shoot 17.5 in one oz load with XL-1 or CB 1100. STS Hull and WW209.

It's got plenty of pop for me right at 1200fps. You must be in the 1325fps range with that load.

Depending on primer, might be pushing 10,000 psi also, a number I try to stay below.

Jim - how many rounds of your load can you shoot in a day? Does the shoulder get a little sore?

Glenns, well, I shot about 6 boxes of those loads and 3 or 4 others. Sore? Not really. But, I am 6 foot and 200pds. Go to the gym 3 days a week for about 2 hrs lifting. AND, I'm 56 yrs old. BTW, I loaded up some once fired AA's with the CB 1100 wads and this 19.5 Promo with a Cheddite primer. Shells came out of my 366 looking like factory loads. Beautiful. Jim

Jim - great that you still go to the gym at 56. We have an onsite gym here at work so I try to get there almost every day and I'm 55.

    Shoot 'em all.
