After bugging Claybuster for years at the grand they have finally made a 1 ounce 16 Ga. AA wad. They are now available and I beleive the only available American made wad of this type. Downrange is coming out with their 3/4-7/8 ounce 16 ga. Wad.

I have always thought a 16 on the proper frame, with one ounce of shot at 1250 was the BEST field gun. Period.

A true field double with double triggers and extractors comes to mind.

Yep! I still hunt with my Stevens SxS that I got for Christmas in 1956. Life is beautiful with my two Welch Springers and my old gun to match these old legs. Wife does not understand why!

    Ithaca Model 37, circa 1952.

16 gauge, modified choke, plain barrel.

    Great gun to hunt pheasants.
