Will an 1187 barrel fit on an 1100 Action?

Yes , If it is an early one with the seprate gas check ring, it will have to be epoxied or migged in place. Been shooting one for over ten years that way. Jeff

    The correct answer is.... maybe.

Some barrels interchange successfully, yet on other guns the same model barrel will not work another receiver.

The general rule of thumb is no, they will not interchange, but there are exceptions and they are on a one-by-one basis. And forends usually have to be swapped with the barrel, and this brings into play the forend cap retention system.
