Who out there has used a 1187 barrel on a 1100? If so, what did you have to do to make it work? I have a left handed 1100, so buying a 1100 barrel with screw in chokes seems to be well nigh impossible.
    Thanks,
    Bryan

Shot an 1187 RH Light Contour barrel--(non pressure compensated)) on a 1100 for approx. 4 years ---worked great. Of course, you can not install the cover over the gas compensating system (won't fit with the 1100 forearm). Although, I was advised by a former Rem assembly foreman that due to "stacking tolerences" you shouldn't do it. Never the less, shot light --to moderate loads and it worked great--wish I had the barrel back.
    regards

Bryan, how about an 1187 left handed trap gun. In hear new condition. Step rib, choke tube, over bored barrel and a montecarlo stock. I know the guy who has it and it is for sale. I think he was asking $700 but would pobably go $650. You pay the shipping. Drop the x's to email me. Thanks and good shooting, Bob.

I have used them for over 10 years. I have spot welded welded the exterior gas check to the barrel to make the early ones work. Been duck hunting with one for over 10 years. The O-ring placement is different and tends to eat them a little more often. Keep a spare in your wallet. Jeff
