1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Remington puts stocks and other parts on closeout when they experience low demand for them or when they build a special run of guns for a distributor and have some over-run. I haven't checked in a week or two, but they had new laminated Model 700BDL and BDL/DM stocks in all three barrel channels and both action lengths with an R3 or Supercell recoil pad for as little as $75.

Two weeks ago, I bought a camo Monte Carlo stock and forend for an 11-87 for about $80 total and fit the forend's light contour barrel channel to my 1100 synthetic field gun.

I got an 1100 English stock in Walnut satin finish. I called them to make sure it was not the synthetic one. Normally these list for $165, I got it less than half that delivered.

    Start at the URL above.

On the left side click on "parts and upgrades" (do not click on closeouts on the main page_

On the Parts and Upgrades page click on "Parts closeouts"

You are welcome Jack. I also purchased a new forearm but I am afraid the finish (shiny) will not match the Monte Carlo finish; if not, I may try a Boyds walnut foreend. Any other suggestions?

I jumped on two mossy oak camo'd 21" 1187 barrels with rifle sights (turkey barrels), a mossy oak synthetic monte carlo stock, and a replacement walnut 1187 20 ga forend for my daughters shotgun, which somehow got a big chip in it. Smokin' deal on all these parts.

My impression is that the stock does not come with recoil pad.
