I have recently dug into the back of my safe and found a 1970 trap barrel that was the subject of a class action suit many years ago. I was sent a check for about $20,bought a new barrel and that was it. I recently contacted Remington and they tell me the only danger I would encounter with the barrel is if I used a slug, steel shot, or buckshot. I intend to use it for targets and/or upland birds. Anyone out there that can add to this?

It was a bogus lawsuit and it forced Remington to make barrels that felt like lead pipes. Not only is your barrel safe, it's a heck of a lot better than the new ones.
