The front sight keeps popping off the barrel of my 1100. The first time I complained to Remington and they sent me a new one. This time I just ordered another one plus an extra one from their parts department. Is this a common occurrence with 1100 barrels or just where this particular barrel wasn't drilled correctly?

Not a common occurrence in my experience.

    Duck tape?

BTW ... very uncommon. How old is the barrel and have you ever changed the site before possibly now or then maybe screwing up the threads so you cant get a good tight site?

If its the bradley style it needs to be fitted. I use a brownells broach for perfect fit then locktite. Jeff
