Will a butstock and forearm from a 11/87 fit on an 1100? Any modifications needed?

    Thanks

Yes, and yes. Will fit. Modifications to the forearm might be necessary if the 1100 has one of the older barrels that is not contoured.

stocks should, Forend? you need to modify the for end just not sure what. I believe the 1187 will go onto the 1100. Problem being is holding the barrel snuggly. Cant remember, shotgunworld has many threads on this topic and some of the best pics, do a search.

Anthony, The stocks will interchange. The 11-87 forends do not have the metal insert like the 1100 forends do, so the magazine cap snugs down on the wood....not a good thing. Brownell has what they call a "wavy washer" that you can use to alleviate this problem. Just put the 11-87 forend on the 1100 (assuming it is for a standard contour barrel) add the washer, and install the magazine cap.....works fine.
