1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

    For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

    A gentleman at my club owns an 11-87 sporting clays gun. He would like to acquire either a Monte Carlo stock or a stock with an adjustable comb. Where would be a good place to inquire about this? He doesn't want high grade wood, just a quality stock and matching fore end.

    Yes, Jack West Stock, this one's on the new 1100 Competition Synthetic;

    http://jackweststocks.com/index_files/Page354.htm

    It would basically set it up like this;

    Thanks guys! I have printed the page that you sent the link for and will show it to Buddy on Saturday.

    If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know and I will pass them on to my friend.

    That's good that it might be of interest.

    I have seen the new 1100 Competition Synthetic while I was at a meat shoot (trap targets) at a club about 45 minutes away from here.

    It has that stock on it and the owner was very pleased with it. It is both adjustable and absorbes recoil; combine that with an 1100 or 11-87 and you would have a very comfortable gun to shoot.

    One thing to remember, the stock is not adjustable for length, that is just a recoil absorbing system but thinner pads can be installed which will alter the LOP a bit.

    I normally prefer a walnut stock but I could see me buying an 1100 Competition Synthetic, myself.

    FYI

    No one makes a synthetic forend for the 1187 SC which has a shorter forend.

    If he wants matching wood, an 1187 trap stock of the darker variety would be close match, then send it to Tron for the adjustable comb.

    No, the gun is my wife's.

    It is a mid-1990's 28" Remchoke, with the five extended tubes, all blued, no porting.

    It was purchased as part of a deal for attending the Remington Shooting School, the custom shop put her initials on the trigger guard as part of the deal.

    I have a walnut Remington 1100 MC stock that will fit your friend's 11-87. He can have it refinished to match his fore end. Asking $150.00 shipped to lower 48. Also have a beautiful 1100 competition stock with an adjustable comb and a kick eeze pad. It has a glossy finish that matches the forearm on my 1187 sporting clays NP. JM
